This training is open to all and designed to give athletes the opportunity to work in small groups and concentrate on technique under the guidance of USATF Club Coach and Georgian Court University Throws Coach Joe Napoli. Also assisitng with training will be USATF Club Coach Jamie Wilson.
In order to participate in these training sessions you must be a registered 2018 USATF member and sign the WLTCNJ liability waiver (AWRL) below. Please bring both your USATF Registration # and the signed AWRL to your first training session.
*Each weekly training confirmaton will determine if we use 1 circle or 2 circles.
**The club has some implements for you to use but it is always recommended to bring your own**
Shot put: $35.00 (2 hours)
**If you would like to join us for the hammer training and drill session as well cost will be $50.00 for both (3.5 hours total)
Please do not just show up!!! Contact Coach Napoli with specific dates/events you plan on attending. Your name will be left at the security booth.
Directions to GCU Throws areas:
Once you enter campus and pass the security booth stay straight on the main raod. You will drive past the large commuter parking lot on the right then proceed straight to the small parking lot on the left as you pass the Casino Building. Park in the lot and walk over to the Casino.
Hammer, Shot put, Discus (Throws Cage)
Once you enter campus and pass the security booth stay straight on the main road. You will drive past the large commuter parking lot on the right then proceed straight to the small parking lot on the left just past the Casino Building. You can walk across the field to the throws cage.
If you are just coming for Javelin training I will meet you at the track (located near the commuter parking lot) when I am done in back with shot/discus/hammer around 12:00-12:15. The javelin runway is located at the far end of the track by the solar panels. It is a tartan runway (not Grass) so put small spikes in your javelin shoes if you have them.
